Smoking has never been a safe affair. Millions of people are losing their lives annually. Smoking related diseases are never easy to take care of especially when ignored for a long time. Air pollution is one of the negative effects of cigarette smoking. This is a fact well know to everybody. Smoking alone does not pollute the air. The air produced during the curing process of tobacco also plays a major role in polluting the air. Cigarette smoke in itself contains over six thousand different chemicals. With that said, you can only imagine how harmful the chemical should be to the environment. Thanks to cigarette smoking, we have global warming. With all that, it is quite clear that the air we breathe might not be safe enough especially when people keep on smoking traditional cigarettes.

Fire outbreaks are also caused by cigarette smoking especially in homes and forests. When such incidences occur, animals ,vegetation and man suffer.

Cigarette butts also pollute our precious oceans. The delicate and precious aquatic life is not safe at all with these butts around. Researchers found out that a cigarette is able to kill half the fish and the ocean creatures. With that said, we can only hope that people change their way and look for better ways of quenching their cigarette smoking thirst.

Without the natural nutrients and minerals, plants are not able to survive. At the end of the day, this will be harmful to the native environment, flora and fauna. In a nut shell, with the increase in tobacco smoking, the would will no longer be a safe place for both plants and animals.

In summary, cigarette smoking should be highly discouraged for the sake of the environment and the future of the world in general.
